SWC is suing the National NewsMedia Council (NNC) for anti-White racial discrimination.
The NNC is a Canadian media oversight board which adjudicates complaints about “uncorrected factual errors or hateful language” in Canadian news media.
In February of 2021, SWC filed a complaint with the NNC, about factual errors and hateful language towards White people in 3 articles, which were written by Shree Paradkar, and published in the Toronto Star.
The NNC refused to receive our complaint.
In our suit, we allege the following:
The NNC refused to receive our complaint because of the race of the targeted group (White people).
The NNC attempted to obscure its racially discriminatory conduct by deliberately misrepresenting its mandate, claiming that they don’t monitor complaints of hateful language.
After threatening to sue, the NNC tried to placate us, by verbally promising to review our complaint, but later misrepresented themselves again, and denied having made such a promise.
The NNC attempted to convince us that we had signed a waiver forgoing our ability to sue, which was, again, a misrepresentation.
In support of our case, we have an audio recording of John Fraser, the NNC’s Executive Chair, misrepresenting the NNC’s mandate, as well as agreeing to review our complaint (which he later denied having done).
